Aloha, my name is Steven Nickens,
I have been blessed to call Maui my home for over 36 years. I also have the pleasure to work with the Wailea Group, with offices in Wailea Beach Villas and at The Shops at Wailea. I work with some of the best agents on Maui, which is a very tight group and family. With 15 years as a full time Realtor on Maui. Prior to real estate, I owned an operated Nickens Interiors Maui. I operated a retail store and as a contractor for 16 years handled light commercial, residential and condominium projects. One of my projects that I worked on with Architect Tim Farrington, and Goodfellow Bros was the last phase of Makena Surf. I have over 30 years experience in the housing industry on Maui. Moving on from the contracting business, and interior design work, real estate has been a natural progression. I love working with people and the challenges that come with the business. I have always been a type of person to learn the field from the inside out. I have taught my self through studying, and trial and error to maintain my own internet presence . I have become one of the top network marketers in the state working online. This is a valuable tool in promoting Maui real estate online.

I have lived on The North shore of Maui with my wife, and have raised four grown adults, which I am very proud of. One is an interior designer in Huntington Beach. Another is a computer programmer in San Diego and grown up to be a pretty hot surfer. My oldest son on Maui is a pro-surfer and represents the Da-Kine Pro international surf team. He spends his extra time in the winter tow-surfing the outer reefs on Maui. Lastly, my youngest Meili works with children and has been riding horses since she has been a young girl.
My self, I been married to a beautiful woman, she is born and raised on Maui, artist and my best friend. We both live on 2-acres in Haiku. I spend my spare time gardening, raising fresh greens for the table and fresh tropical fruits, such as papayas, mangos, bananas, oranges and other fruit trees. I have been an avid surfer all my life; I competed in Hawaii for 10-years along side my sons while they were growing up. I have also spent my time diving, windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding. I still get in the surf on big days and a senior member in the line-up. So getting in the water as much as I can keeps me fit and young.
